“In today’s world, real trials are not as frequent as they used to be. It is much harder for family lawyers today to get the practical experience necessary to develop their trial skills than it was when the most of the faculty began their practices. We are fortunate that we had the opportunity to try many complex cases, giving us the ability to develop our practices and improve our skills and techniques along the way. The faculty of the National Family Law Trial Institute is committed to teaching the next generation of family law litigators. We participate because we feel the need and desire to “give back” to the profession and to help lawyers who want to be better trial lawyers and enhance their trial skills and way of approaching and analyzing cases. We provide an atmosphere of learning and developing skills that would not otherwise be available.” – Stephen Kolodny –
